Is Death Our Final Destination

The Journey of a flower

Spring comes, the flowers bloom; winter arrives, the flowers wither and die; winter fades, spring arrive and the flower that died came back to life.

The Unknown

The unknown and mortality have always intrigued the human mind. Many of us have spent moments gazing into the heavens, wondering about creation and the mysteries of the unknown. Not understanding the unknown brings fear, so we ask questions and search for answers. "Where did we come from? Who am I? What happens when I die? Is death my final destination?"

Men like Alexander the Great had searched the corners of the globe for immortality seeking the fountain of youth whereby drinking the rejuvenating water from the fountain of youth will revive his aging body, keeping him alive forever. Alexander never found the rejuvenating water, and like all of us sooner or later will, Alexander had met his fate.

"Is death the final stage of our existence?" we ask. Some of us believe there's an after world and some of us don't. Today there are lots of questions concerning religions, genetic engineering and aliens, which may easily discourage us from our beliefs, unless our faith is very strong. Lets journey through religion and science to shed some light on this topic. By searching for answers with an opened mind, we could certainly get a better understanding of the unknown, than assuming we know it all..

Schools of thoughts

Books such as the Bible, Koran, Vedas and Gospel give us a comforting answer to the life and death questions. Probably the answers we want to hear and would like to believe. Most religious books remind us to have faith and sometimes tell us not to question its teachings. By questioning the books, we may end up in doubts. But, the curious and intelligent human mind wants to investigate the unknown, phenomenon and mysteries. "Why so many schools of thoughts," we ask. "Why so many different answers about the unknown and mysteries of creation? If there's one right way then what is it?"

As a small boy living in Guyana, a small South American country where the Caribbean meets the shores of South America, I learned Christianity in school where I said the Christian prayers and sang Christian songs and after school I attended the Mosque where I learned Islam. I quickly learned that these two world religions are similar in many ways and shared many principles, such as the Ten Commandments along with names, starting from Moses all the way to Joseph, Mary and Jesus. Both of these religions talked about the hereafter, and heaven and hell and our rewards after death. I also learned a bit about Hinduism and reincarnation, which is an amazing way of looking at our existence and the life and eath questions. For many like myself, the question still remains, "Why so many religions? Who is right? Or is anybody right? Is death our final destination?" To satisfy our curiosity, lets journey into the unknown, a mysterious place, which most of us can hardly relate to.

Dismissed as coincidence

Many events that naturally occurs which I could not explain were dismissed as nonsense and coincidences, because I didn't have an explanation for it. For example, I thought people who claimed to have psychic experiences were having a delusion or had a great imagination. I never believed in ghosts because I've never seen one and could not explain how ghosts could exist among us or in a different dimension. But, by keeping an open mind, I've opened up the channels for information to flow.

Our limited Perception

I cannot see electrons, photons, voltage or current or hear the communication of whales or the communication of many insects, but I know they exist becasue of their organized way of living which must consist of some form of communication. Also our scientific measuring equipment has proven that many frequencies and wavelengths which the human eyes cannot see or the human ears cannot hear do exist. Obviously there's more to what the eye can see or what the ear can hear. I will refer to the unknown at things the human eyes cannot see nor hear.

Insects, such as crickets can see and hear what I cannot see or hear. A cricket could hear someone coming from a far distance by sensing the vibrations of the earth, whereas I cannot. A bat senses signals in a world of ultrasounds. Since I cannot see or hear certain things, I am limited in my perceptions and must accept that I do not know everything.

A view of the quantum world

If we look at the universe through a microscope we would see what is referred to as the quantum soup where everything is made up of energy. What may appear to be solid and concrete through our eyes, will appear to be vibrating energies through a microscope or even through the eyes of other species. In the microscopic or quantum world, there exist wavelengths and frequencies the human eyes cannot see or the human ears cannot hear. In the quantum world you will not see the beauty of the golden sunset or the beauty of a red rose as your eyes allows you to see it. In the quantum world you will see colorless electrons and atoms of energy vibrating. The mechanism of an insect eye allows it to see something completely different from what the human eyes sees. This leads me to believe different species are having different experiences and their reality is different from humans. As humans we would like to believe we know it all and make final and definite conclusions as the truth, but in reality we know very little, since we only percieve what our limited ability allows us.

Human Physical Make Up

My perception of reality is based on my five senses. The way I was created and probably most people were created does not allow us to tune into the unknown. Or if we do possess the ability to tune into the unknown, we have lost that understanding on how to tune into the unknow. From the time we are small, we are bombarded with tons of information which probably blocks our natural abilities.

In the quantum world, nothing is solid. According to quantum physics we are 99.999% empty space. Neutrinos pass through our bodies all the time at the speed of light as though it was passing through empty space, yet we are not aware of it. We have no problem moving through the air or water, yet we cannot walk through a brick wall, because of the tightly bonded molecules. Neutrinos passes through all these mediums at the speed of light.

Within our bodies and the universe there are other forms of life taking place, which we have no awareness off. By now, you're getting the message, that as humans, we do not possess all the senses to observe the unknown, made up of energies. In other words, if there's another world taking place simultaneously with ours, we are not aware of it, because of our limited perceptions.

Extraordinary Sensory Perception

Could some people tune into the unknown? In other words could some people tune into frequencies, which most people cannot tune into, such as the frequencies an insect tunes into? If yes, then that person possess "extraordinary sensory perception" (ESP) or they can be referred to psychics.

We know genetic varies from people to people and from species to species and some people are capable of doing what others can't. Does the six sense actually exists in some people? A person with such ability, can easily conclude that there's more to what the eye can see and the ears can hear. Could it be that all humans possess a six sense or even other senses that we have not heard about, but these senses are blocked because our brain is congested with how to do math, chemistry etc... from a very very young age?

Religion and the quantum world

Some people believe everything their religious book tells them whereas others question it because they don't feel that it provides an answer for them. So why couldn't these religion provide more information to explain the unknown in terms of science and the quantum world? Can you imagine a religious book being written in terms of quantum field of energies and mathematical formulas? Then we would really be confused. It may take many lifetimes to even understand the workings of energies, mathematical formulas and how it relates to the universe. Religious books are written so even a seven-year old could easily pick it up and understand it, benefiting from it, especially for guidance such as rules and disciplines which will enhance our journey through life. Religious books have rules, is a perception for humans to follow and to guide them.

Religion, Prayers, Meditation

Some people believe praying is a wasteof time. Let's look at the benefits of prayers. Prayers are powerful in sense of the calming and relaxing effect it brings to our bodies, which is better for our body, than being stressed out and destructive. Some religion use body movements during prayers, which is probably a science to help keep the body healthy.
During meditation, some people have claimed that in a relaxed form they transcend, having wonderful experiences. Prayers and meditation are similar in many ways.

Religion and Aliens

Some people may even go to the extent to say that Aliens are God. Did Aliens create the atoms, the sun and the orbits? Of course not, so aliens are not our God. Some may even say that some of our teachings were brought by visitors from other planets. Even if Aliens had brought these teachings, it does not mean they created the Universe or even have a complete understanding of the unknown. Some people believe that man had written all the religious books and created religions. However, we do sense that there's more to God, Aliens, Religions etc... We know that everything consists of energies and rules are created by different cultures as guidance.

God and Genetic Engineering

Genetic engineering is here to stay and we can expect that man will engineer other forms of life. Does this mean man is god? Of course not! Once again, man did not create the energies and the quantum world. If man reuses and modifies what's already been created then it's still not a creation of man, but maybe an expression of man, as a painting is to an artist, or a song is to a musician. We are all expressions of the universe.

Definition of God

Many religions see God in different ways. Some say it's the good inside of us; some say we're all part of the cosmic mind; some say it's everything that exists, some say it's the almighty or Supreme Being. So there are lots of definitions. Who is correct? Everybody wants to be right.

According to some religions God gives you free will. So if we have free will then we will create our own paradise or hell. If we choose to create hell for each other, should a superior power keep saving us over and over? Will man ever learn?
Is it possible that all the teachings, and everything goes back to a higher source which man cannot even imagine or define this higher source, because of our limited perceptions. We think we know it all, but we don't. We speak from our limited perceptions and understandings.

Let's put it this way, we have a hard time understanding reality, understanding who we are, understanding the unknown, so how can we even define God. What I do know is that my perception is limited, and what we know of the universe is very little.

Conclusion

The Unknown and Death seems to be a mystery because we've made it that way. We tend to ignore all the signs because we do not have explanations. By gaining awareness and knowledge we will start to see the light. To gain awareness and knowledge each one of us must spend the time to educate ourselves in this area.

Why be pessimistic about life when we can be more optimistic and have a nicer and more enjoyable journey in life. We can conclude creation takes place in the unknown, which we don't know a whole lot about. We can conclude that some people or all of us may have the ability to tune into the unknown, maybe during times of a relaxed state. We can conclude that we do not know it all, because of our limited ability and perceptions, for example we cannot see and hear what another species may see or hear or even experience. This tells me that if our perceptions (what we see and hear) are so limited, we cannot conclude that death is our final destination.

Could it be that life is always there and always is? Could it be that these religious books are saying the same thing but in different ways due to the evolution of different cultures and societies? Could it be that people are saying the same thing but in different ways? The fact is there's more than one way to our Journey through life and getting to a destination. One day our physical body, our vehicle, will give up and it will be time to move on from these experiences. but this does not mean that's the end of us. It may be the end of the physical body. Once again, everything is made up of energy.

A person who meditates believes the body could transcend here on earth. Is it possible that at death we transcend leaving this body, our vehicle, behind as we re-enter the quantum world, into what's unknown to the human eyes.
Have fate, because there's more to learn, there's more than what the eye can see, the ear can hear and the heart can feel. We are intelligent human beings but we are limited in our perceptions. I sense that we will always be a part of this universe and we are all connected to the quantum world.
