Bamboo Avenue, Jamaica

Bamboo Avenue is a popular tourist attraction and Jamaicans are quite proud of it. The concept is quite simple, a stretch of highway is lined with towering bamboo that droops to form a loose tunnel. It was planted by the owners of a sugar cane plantaion that the road ran through. There are also several handy rest stops along the avenue and it lies close to the YS Falls. The avenue lies on the A2 between Lacovia and Middle Quarters. Simple but photogenic and fun.
